India’s greatest industrilaist, businessman and philanthropist Sir Ratan Tata has left Earth yesterday after prolonging medical complicacies. The whole country is mourning the loss of this legend. Sir Tata was the 3rd chairman of the Legendary Tata Sons group which has been the backbone of industrialisation in India. Today, his mortal remains were taken to the NCPA lawns where people paid him their last tributes.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the funeral of industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata on behalf of the Government of India. Mr. Tata’s body was laid at the NCPA lawns in Nariman Point, Mumbai, for the public to pay their respects to the revered businessman.
Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, stated that the final ceremonies for Ratan Tata would be carried out with complete state honors. In this time frame, governmental offices throughout the state will lower the national flag to half-mast, and there will be no entertainment events. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra announced a state mourning on Thursday, October 10, to honor the late icon.
Renowned for his philanthropy, Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, died at the age of 86 on October 9th. He was taken to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai in a critical state, and unfortunately passed away due to his illness. The nation is grieving after his death, receiving tributes from political leaders and business executives.
N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, conveyed heartfelt sadness in a statement, stating, “With great sadness, we say goodbye to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, an exceptional leader whose unmatched efforts not only impacted the Tata Group but also the entire nation.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his sympathy, praising Mr. Tata as a “forward-thinking business leader, a kind-hearted individual, and an exceptional person.” Several others have also expressed similar feelings, highlighting the enduring influence and contribution of Ratan Tata to both Indian business and society.
This is a great loss for India and now there are talks of giving Bharat Ratn to Sir Tata after the Maharashtra government has urged the central government to do so.
