Annapurna Vishwanathan has accepted the role of Vice President and Head of IM & Digital for India and South Asia at Airbus, where she will be responsible for the company’s further technology and digital enhancement initiatives. With vast knowledge in IT leadership, Annapurna has significant experience in the position as she was formerly the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Cummins India, which she singlehandedly executed their IT strategic planning and implementation.
Prior to her stint with Cummins India, Vishwanathan was the Head of Digital for Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd where she led the digital transformation for key functional areas of the business. Furthermore, she worked for more than ten years at GE, serving in various international leadership roles in product development, ERP, IT infrastructure and Cybersecurity.
Annapurna is a known advocate for the young talent and diversity progression in the Corporate World. She has also received recognition as one of the IBM’s ‘Women in AI’ in 2021 for her exemplary performance. With her digital strategy and business transformation experience, she will propel the technological innovations and digital advancements Airbus is working towards in South Asia.
