Rajiv Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Aluminium Business at Vedanta Ltd. He will step into this new role on 26th March 2025, with a term of three years. Kumar comes with over twenty years of leadership experience including his previous role as Vice President of Operations at Tata Steel, providing him with adequate experience in operations management and strategic growth.
As primary user of Kumar’s vast experience in optimizing operational efficiency and innovation, Vedanta’s focus aluminum business is targeted towards enhancing production capabilities and strengthening the company’s growth in the global market. Kumar’s vision to optimize operational efficiency and foster innovation will also help support Vedanta’s objectives regarding their market share in the aluminium industry.
