Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of the Meta platforms, has entered the prestigious $200 billion club, becoming the third person to do so. The Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index listed Mark’s net worth upwards of $200 billion for the first time ever.

Only two other people in the history of the world have ever reached this super-exclusive club. One is Jeff Bezos, the founder and former CEO of Amazon, and the other is Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and the CEO of Tesla and Twitter. Both of these individuals have a net worth of $216 billion and $268 billion, respectively.

Mark, on the other hand, who just entered this club, saw a $71 billion rise in his net worth this year, taking his total net worth to $200 billion, according to Bloomberg.

All three of the top ten richest people in the world are either the founders or CEOs of American tech giants and some of the biggest companies in the world. Period.
Next on the list is France’s Bernard Arnault, who has built a fortune of $183 billion, although his net worth has decreased by $24 billion in 2024.
Other billionaires in the top 10 include Larry Ellison, Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, Larry Page, Warren Buffett, and Sergey Brin.
At the beginning of this year, Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH, was the only other person with a net worth surpassing $200 billion. However, the value of his luxury empire has dropped by nearly 16% this year, reducing his fortune by $30 billion to $177 billion.
According to the Billionaire Index, the bulk of Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth comes from a 13% stake in Meta, based on a July 2024 report.
Meta, the parent company of social media giants like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, reported revenue of $134.9 billion in 2023 and boasts around 4 billion monthly users.
India’s richest individual, Mukesh Ambani, holds the 12th position with a fortune of $113 billion, while Gautam Adani ranks 15th with a net worth of $105 billion.
