Girish Nair Named CEO of Eastern Business Unit at Orkla India to Drive Spices Growth

Girish Nair has been appointed as the Eastern Business Unit’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by Orkla India. Under Nair’s direction, Eastern, a well-known brand in Kerala’s masala and pure spice industries, is now poised for strategic growth.

Girish, who is based in Kochi, will be in charge of the Eastern business team and concentrate on expanding Orkla India’s presence in Kerala. Nair has over 30 years of experience in the food and consumer goods sector, and his knowledge and vision will be crucial to Eastern’s future development.

“We are delighted to have Girish Nair join Orkla India as the new CEO of Eastern Business Unit,” said Sanjay Sharma, CEO of Orkla India, expressing his excitement over Girish’s hiring. He is well-positioned to lead Eastern into its next stage of expansion because to his wealth of industry expertise and experience.

Girish Nair was a member of the Olam Group’s leadership team before to joining Orkla India, where he assisted in the establishment of the company’s packaged goods division in West Africa. He has held important positions at Wipro Consumer Products, Bacardi, Britannia, and Dabur in the past. He is an alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Bangalore.
